Jackson Spalding has delivered a handful of ESG Reports for American Tire Distributors. In 2024, it was mine to tackle. In total this report runs over 70 pages, with a hefty index. Previous reports had relied on more standard graphs and tables, the goal for the 2023 report was to engage the reader with more visually narrative content and diversify the ways in which the data was presented.

The overall concept chosen for the report was an interactive design that incorporated navigation inspired by a driver assistance dashboard.

To extend the driver dashboard concept, vary content and further push the information visually, I designed some of the content in a ‘Dark Mode’ style.

Given the length and data-heavy nature of the report, I incorporated illustrations to break up, humanize and communicate the content. These were added to editorial content to help spotlight initiatives as well as employed narratively to visually tell a story with the information. I created and chose illustrations congruent with the brand guide, approachable and human while clean and technical to enhance the brand experience throughout the report.

ATD provides a comprehensive portal integrating tire, parts, and service, offering tools to reduce stale inventory and increase sales for retailers. Below are a series of ads created to promote their commitment to retailers and highlight their abilities in supply chain efficiency and inventory management.
